Robeco Bolsters Sustainable Investing Awareness in Asia

In an attempt to boost awareness and knowledge about sustainable and factor investing, Robeco has made its educational platform available to all investment professionals in Hong Kong and Singapore.

The «Robeco Essentials» platform aims to share the asset manager’s views on the latest investment topics through various mediums including animated videos, charts, case studies, and summaries.

Content is organized into modules that can be accounted for as two hours of continuous professional development (CPD) accreditation. The platform is currently recognized by the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore’s financial training scheme (FTS).

More ESG Knowledge Required

Robeco’s sustainable investing module was first launched in May 2019 and offer to employees of Standard Chartered Private Bank in Asia and globally. According to Robeco, the launch was timely as more questions were raised about sustainable investing including on ESG integration, performance, active ownership and other issues. A factor investing module was subsequently added.

«Sustainable investing and factor investing are topics that are increasingly important, however, many of our clients feel they might not be equipped to talk about them,» said Tom Keenan, Asia ex-Japan head of wholesale at Robeco, noting that the platform will continue to be populated with new content.
