Startup Wise Guys, the Estonian-founded and now Riga, Latvia-based startup accelerator, has become an official partner for Google Developers Launchpad in the Baltics to support the growing Baltic startup industry.
The “Startup Wise Guys Powered by Google Developers Launchpad” initiative will connect Startup Wise Guys to an elite group of the world’s top accelerators, allowing it to share information and leverage resources, the accelerator said in a statement.
“Startup Wise Guys will also access Google’s global network, insights from the company’s Silicon Valley-based startup programs, and twenty years’ worth of Google research and best practice insights on building businesses, products and teams at massive scale,” it said. “These resources will help the Startup Wise Guys portfolio companies … scale their businesses exponentially.”
The only accelerator partner of Google in the Baltics
Startup Wise Guys is one of four European partners and the only accelerator in the Baltic region that represents Google Developers Launchpad, the accelerator said.
Google’s “Powered by Launchpad” initiative is a global network of the world’s leading startup accelerators. Through the program, Google supports its partner accelerators with technical training, product credits and expert mentors.
Powered by Launchpad focuses on growing startup ecosystems broadly, and also works with local influencers to empower local initiatives with Google’s global resources.
Helps startups grow
“Existing and upcoming Startup Wise Guys portfolio companies will also be eligible for up to USD100,000 in Google Cloud Credits for their startups,” the accelerator added.
Google Developers Launchpad is a branch of Google that operates a global acceleration program that helps startups grow. The Developers Launchpad doesn’t take an equity stake in accelerator portfolio startups, but instead focuses on developing companies and their ecosystems over the long term.
Startup Wise Guys is an Estonian-founded, Riga, Latvia-based B2B accelerator with investments in more than 145 startups.
