STARTUP INDIA IMPORTANT INITIATIVE OF GOVT

Governor Anandiben Patel has said that Startup India is an important initiative of Government of India. Its aim is to create a strong ecosystem for startups and new thoughts in the country so that the country develops economically and employment opportunities are created in a large scale.

This initiative has been taken to provide an opportunity to youths to make them industrialists and entrepreneurs. She said this at the inaugural ceremony of the workshop on start-up leadership organized in Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya. The Governor released the start-up policy and newsletter of the Vishwavidylaya on the occasion.

The Governor said that a start-up means providing financial assistance to youths of the country through banks which will strengthen them and they are able to create employment in India. She said that today unemployment is a major problem in the whole world. It is not possible that we can depend only on the government providing jobs to youths. For this the industry and other business organizations shall have to support the Vishwavidyalaya.

She said that the industry should introduce the Vishwavidyalaya with its demands and needs so that the Vishwavidyalaya can organize such programmes and training programmes that can enable youths to be of use to industries. Focus should be on new products and unique applications also along with making jobs available for students.

Minister of State for Technical Education and Skill Development (Independent Charge) Deepak Joshi said that the Prime Minister does not only talk but he has taken the country to the global level. The start-up programme initiated by him for youths is of utmost utility today. There will be no dearth of funds for this work. Initially, more than Rs 10 crore will be given.

Member Secretary of All India Technical Education, New Delhi AP Mittal said that the scheme actually means one should run after jobs instead one must have the capacity to generate jobs for others. Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Sunil Kumar told that Rs one lakh grant will be given to 100 students under start-up. He said that the Vishwavidyakaya has adopted Bishankhedi village as per orders of the Governor.

Chief of Tata Consultancy Amitabh Tiwari and Principal Secretary Technical Education Sanjay Bandhopadhyay were present on the occasion.
